It is true. On November 17 Xbox 360 will now be able to interface with your Twitter, Facebook and other social media accounts. Imagine, in the middle of your Halo 3 match you feel like tweeting the world about the color of paint on the wall or update your Facebook status on how your achievements fall short as far as your gamer scores. Sound ridiculous? Perhaps. But, I have found Xbox and other gaming systems to be a real place to hangout with people. I enjoy playing with my son, nephew and friends whether online or in person.

Will adding more social features to gaming be an enhancement or ridiculous? Please chime in.

RECAP: Staci Frenes was our guest worship leader and artist this past Sunday. Its safe to say that Sunridge loves Staci! Her songwriting and singing are known quantities to me over the years but I also learned how adept she is at leading people into worship. This message was delivered at Sunridge Church yesterday. One noteworthy thing is the use of twitter and how hundreds of tweets were coming in. All of that is experimental, but helpful in us connecting. As a teacher its always better to be in dialog more than monologue, right?

The books I referenced:

  • The Hard Sayings of Jesus, F.F. Bruce
  • The Jesus I Never Knew, Phillip Yancey
  • Once An Arafat Man, Tass Saada
  • The Principle of the Path, Andy Stanley

The above video had me really concerned about my use of twitter and for the health of the general twittering public, so I had the opportunity as a power blogger to ask during the National Worship Leaders Conference the David Crowder Band personally about the issue with twitter (follow their tweets @crowderband). I am not sure what my SPECIAL INVESTIGATION really exposes, but I report and you decide. ;)

BTW…you can follow me on twitter at @rkweblog
