Ephesians 6:10-18 says our “battle is not between flesh and blood…but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” We have an enemy. Every opening we leave through bad judgment, lack of preparation or absent time praying will be exploited by our enemy. The one idea clearly presented is that the Devil is after you!

This passage gives us some tips…

• Recognize you are a target and choose the right enemy. Sometimes we blame people, when really its the Devil who is scheming to destroy us.
• Prepare yourself with your lifestyle. Living right means you are less likely to be on the wrong path and end up in the wrong place.
• Equip yourself with defensive weapons. Standing firm, deflect the darts by knowing God’s word the Bible to defuse the lies hurled at you.
• Wield the offensive weapon: PRAYER. Prayer of all kinds its says in this passage. Why limit to just worship or confession? Why not ask God for strength? Why not ask God for anything??
