RECAP: Today we spent some time with an open mic! Greg, our pastor, instructed us to come forward and make a mosaic and that if a piece is too big it might wreck the mosaic.  What a great way of encouraging brevity. We had dozens between our two services come forward and share thanks for a restored relationship ruined by drug addiction, to a man who was banished from his church for having AIDS who shared thanks for the love and acceptance he has found from The Brook and our church. The stories of many trials were heard in this mosaic.  All the bad news of cancer and divorce and rejection were put in the light of seeing the reality of God in even the toughest of circumstances. For me, this was one of the most moving and meaningful services we have had at Sunridge. I know, I have said that two weeks in a row. Read the rest of this entry »
