Worship Recap: Daylight Savings Time and women’s retreat gave us an opportunity this weekend to address what it would be like for 60 or so families to get ready with only dad at home and the rest of us up early. We decided to put coffee and donuts in the services and to give a 10 minute late start. The 10 minutes were really an extended time of greeting and the countdown clock helped. By the time we started singing, people were actually ready. It worked, as far as I am concerned. We made a typically low Sunday feel more energetic and fun. Kudos to Greg and our hospitality and planning teams.

Worship Set List:

  • Let God Arise – Chris Tomlin
  • How Beautiful the Blood – Steve Fee

A little humor regarding our recent financial woes and daylight savings :) http://beema.wordpress.com/2009/03/09/beemanews_09mar09/

    Hey Rich

Looks like a good day–and a couple of FEE songs to boot! Wow–bet it was powerful. Did it knock over the drum shield again.

    Have a great week!

Great idea on the 10 minute late start and the coffee and donuts! I bet this really helped out with the lull from the time change!

  4. Thanks Steff… it did indeed help.
