Worship Recap & Setlist: February 22, 2009

RECAP: This week ROCKED! I love our band and Greg’s talk about money and worry hit home in a timely fashion. We introduced during our worship the idea of doing Lent together (see www.sunridgeworship.org for what we are doing) and our hope is that some of our church will experience something deeper by the effort.
Missionary Ben and Ruth Kane were interviewed this week. Their story is one you can participate in by reading their blog Kane’s Koner. Ruth’s sister is undergoing terminal cancer and Ben and Ruth are finishing up training for their work in Indonesia. I love it when people are radical enough to go where few can or will go. Our pastor, Greg, reminded us that we can impact the village in Indonesia that requires a 25 hour boat ride and 2 hour hike to get to by supporting people like the Kanes!
SET LIST: I loved having my daughter Emilie lead with me. She took leadership parts of the service and did great, of course. One funny note, Ed on sound mentioned to me how similar our EQs are. How fun that is! We introduced for our church “Glorious One” by Steve Fee. Loved it!
- Glorious One – Steve Fee
- Today is the Day – Lincoln Brewster
- Majesty – Martin Smith, Stu Garrard
- Nothing But the Blood – Matt Redman
- Happy Day – Tim Hughes
How was your worship expression this weekend? I would love to hear about it!

Rich, this looks like the perfect set list. I’m saving it – maybe for Easter? Thanks!!
I just wanna keep singing Majesty for the rest of my life I think…
Man, yours is one of two setlists this week that I’d like to totally rip off. We also closed our service with “Happy Day,” so that’s moderately close.
B the way, Safari likes your page way more than IE 7.0.6 seemed to.
I bet it was a lot of fun to lead with your daughter! Glad you got the opportunity.
Wow… Glorious One
I played around with that one a while ago but felt like it was taking me from the bottom of my range to the top. What key did you do it in? Did you lead it or your daughter?
We do that song in “C” which is what I hear most do it it in. For a congregation, F# is a bit high to say the least.
