We had yet another great time in worship at Sunridge.  Today we had a short set of three songs to make room for a guest artist–Staci Frenes.  One things I heard from our people was how much they loved not just her voice, but her lyrics.  I think it is neat that our people saw the depth and poetry in her songwriting.

Staci sang three songs with us today.  She sold out on CDs, so I am posting a like to her iTunes music and myspace page.

During our second worship service, we had an all-team worship and tech team meeting.  We talked about our vision and some next steps we need to take as far as structure and training.  I really am amazed by our people and the culture of excellence and passion for serving.

Here are the songs we sang:

How was your worship weekend?

We did Blessed Be Your Name also…I hadn’t done it in church for quite a while, and it was good to get back to it. It’s a song that has a great message, but it’s easy to lose sight of that after you hear it so many times. I liked coming back to this one this morning.

  2. Hey man,
We had a great wknd, too – and my opener was .. “Your Grace is Enough!”

Our worship was kind of strange. The mics were way too loud. I was trying to do some special music, but it was all out of wack. Also, the last song we had, heart of worship, the lyrics weren’t even up there. A little frustrating.

I found Staci on MySpace awhile back. Great stuff.
