Go and read (here) and tell me what you think.

Perry has answered many questions here. I hope we look at this deeply and take it to heart on how we do church.

  2. #10 – You always find something wrong with ministries that are seeing fruit.

#7 – You think the answer to every problem is, “If we just had more money.”

Ooh ouch! These hit a little too close to home.

  3. Rick says:

#6 happens when things get too lukewarm. I’ve seen people leave at both ends of the spectrum, though.

#11 We wonder why kids aren’t coming to church in droves?

#10 Sadly, I’ve seen entire church boards throw up roadblocks to fruitful ministries, especially to the youth programs like in #11.

I think Perry is on to something with this list. It’s probably not an exhaustive list either.

There could probably be a #16 that talks about “offending traditions.” But that might be rolled up in #1.

Honestly, I don’t know if these are signs that your church doesn’t have vision or signs that your church isn’t following God’s leadership. If Jesus is the Head of your church AND you are willing to follow Him, vision takes care of itself.
