My daughter is almost 14. Wow.  However, that is quite young to help lead an adult worship service.  She was feeling a bit sick and was worried about her voice and health holding up through the services Sunday.  What a trooper she is.  Ellie, a young adult on our team, prayed with Emilie which was spontaneous and sweet to watch.  She is such a pro and worked through her discomfort and nailed the harmony parts and her leads as well.  Thanks sweetie!!  Your dad is so proud.

We had the opportunity to interview a young missionary, Ben Kane, and his
wife Ruth.  They are a part of New Tribes Mission and are heading to
Indonesia.  Ben was a youth in our youth group at Sunridge, so this was
cool to hear of his being “a goer” for us.  Click here to support them!

At my small group on Sunday night, I got a complaint about the sound which is always a fun thing:
“Rich, the music is just not loud enough…I mean…I want to feel the bass in
my chest..”  I love this place!

How was your worship weekend?

  1. Ben Kane says:

Dude! Thanks for finding our website & mentioning us on yours… I’ve really enjoyed your playing & singing at Sunridge. And yes, I was surprised & liked your little Yoda friend. He made me smile which helped before I had to speak. I even told Ruth about it and she checked him out when she walked up… LOL : – )

I’ll be sure to say ‘what’s up’ next time we make it over. Unfortunately & fortunately we have a lot of churches to visit before we leave…

  2. Ben Kane says:

And… BIG props to your daughter. She is amazing!

  3. Who said it needed more bass? I’ve never heard people (with the exception of bass players, or deaf people, that is) saying they want more brain-liquefying bass.

  4. Zach says:

Man bass players everywhere are weeping with joy at that “complaint”. Finally I will feel a little less rebellious when I ask for more of me in the monitor.

  5. Mike Dalton says:

MORE BASS!!! FInally someone who knows what they are talking about, then again I am a bass player. I what shakes the soul and wakes it up.

  6. Pistol Pete says:

I can see just how you’d be such a proud papa!

  7. Your daughter is awesome. And people wanting to hear bass, makes me smile and feel all giddy inside! My church always turns us down every sunday. Oh well, they are old, you would think they need more volume to hear huh?
