Our church building at Sunridge Community Church was evacuated late Thursday afternoon, canceling a kids event and our worship team rehearsal that evening. You never know what can happen given having no rehearsal, a holiday weekend and perhaps more fires impacting the area–it is SoCal, btw. One thing I am happy about is that we will not be bored this weekend!
Our worship team is meeting at 6:30 AM to runthrough the worship set, so that might work well. Our speaking pastor, Britt is a fireman so if a bunch flare up who knows what our “backup” sermon plan is! And, its a huge holiday weekend.
Recap: I was in Las Vegas so I hope some of my Sunridge peeps will speak up about what went down. But, my daughter helped lead with Bob and Brent and the video is pretty good! I missed my Sunridge fix, but had a great time at Central Christian in Henderson, NV. At Central they also did Hossana, by the way, and their worship leader Ariel reminded me of my daughter. Worship leaders seem to fit the profiling for the most part of being artistic types.
