A top 10 movie list...

Terminator Thanks to my fellow Daily Scribe blogger Shawn Anthony, I am giving you a top 10 list of my favorite movies

The rules of this particular meme are: 1. List your top ten favorite films (in no particular order). 2. If you are tagged, you have to post and tag 3-5 people. 3. Link back to the one who tagged you. 4. Tip the hat to Dan.

These movies are not in any special order:

Worship Set List May 11: Mother's Day, "The American Ideal Mother" sketch, and battle wounds

Worshipbnnr

This Mother's Day packed the house, as I am sure most Mother's Days do around the "churchland".  It is the one day mom can say, "Come to church with me" and her kids or spouse or family will.  Greg, our pastor, delivered a succinct and compelling gospel to our crowd.

The Myriad's NEW Video: You Waste Time Like A Grandfather Clock

Randymiller

The Myriad's new video for the song "You Waste Time Like a Grandfather's Clock" has just been finished.  It was directed by Jesse Rosten and shot at The Cascade Theater in Redding, CA.  The Cascade brings back some memories as does this screen shot of my bro Randy Miller on the drums.  You guys are amazing...can't wait for the new CD!

Copper got a haircut!

Coppershaved

Our dog, Copper, got a haircut.  He looks embarrassed for being nearly naked.  Poor dog.  To add insult to injury, he had a bandanna from the groomer.  I could not bear keeping it on him.

Randy Elrod speaks out on Hugh Hewitt's blog: Death of the Alpha Leader

Hughhewitt

There is a blog post I must refer you to.  Randy Elrod, a friend, blogger and mentor, this week wrote a guest blog on Hugh Hewitt's blog--one the top 50 blogs of today.  (Randy brought Hugh Hewitt to those of us at re:create a few years ago and the blogging community birthed from that event is still growing!)  The "Death of the Alpha Leader" is in the context of our evangelical faith in that no one group of alpha leaders can speak for this diverse and rich group of believers like the manifesto recently published attempts to do.  The top-down thing will not work any longer.  Read what this visionary influencer has to say and let me know what you think.

Is this time of democratization a good thing for the Church at large?

Worship Set List May 4: The last "Simplify" message and open microphone!

Worshipbnnr

...a late-yet-short post about last Sunday's worship.

Greg, our pastor,  finished the Simplify series and boldly put in the service an open microphone time.  We had the strange to the inspiring come forward.  In fact, one lady shared her healing in an inspiring story of her battle with cancer.  Another woman shared how she has special writings that will expose the medical system "for what it really is"--yikes!  Being a little out of control is OK, though.  Right?
